HRH the Princess gave an address in which she said that the celebration of this anniversary is an important moment to prospect the future, voicing hope that future generations among the school's students will be motivated by the same aspirations for success and solidarity that enabled previous generations to enhance the image of this prestigious institution and contribute to its standing.
For HRH Princess Lalla Salma, former graduate of the ENSIAS (class 2000), the role of this institution is not limited to the teaching of subjects such as computer science and information systems management, but it endeavours, like other big national schools, to train executives in various specialties, who are qualified to contribute effectively to development in the country.
HRH the Princess, who recalled that Morocco has set up several engineering schools, expressed hope that these initiatives will be multiplied, given that the country's aspiration for progress and prosperity cannot be achieved without competent, qualified human resources, mainly engineers.
To this end, she continued, there is a need to strengthen the national education system and facilitate its access for all social segments, from both urban and rural areas, particularly girls who need to be encouraged to pursue high-quality post-graduate studies.
HRH the Princess also said that the training she had received and the knowledge she had accumulated over the years of her study in that institution helped her in carrying out the tasks entrusted to her now.
Subsequently, a film entitled "ENSIAS, 20 years of excellence: a story that goes on ..." was screened.
HRH the Princess Lalla Salma received, on this occasion, the memorial trophy of the 20th anniversary of ENSIAS.
She then presented commemorative medals to former directors and former assistant directors of the school .
Afterwards, she chaired the signing of five framework agreements between the Mohammed V-Souissi University, on the one hand, and the international association "Espace Numérique Ouvert pour la Méditerranée" (e-OMED), IT6 consulting company, MEGA North Africa company, Greenfield society and Novancy Consumying ltd company, on the other hand.
The agreements, which fall within the scope of the openness of ENSIAS on its economic environment, aim to promote cooperation between the institution and companies in the field of continuing training and scientific research.
