The two projects carried out by the Mohammed V Foundation for Solidarity, emphasize the importance of youth development and the Sovereign's keenness to ensure equal opportunities for all, particularly people with special needs.
With a tremendous social value added, the two projects reflect the choice of the Foundation to make training, and the welfare and socio-economic integration of all social segments a central component of its actions.
The Marrakech Regional Center for the Handicapped will be an ideal space to coordinate NGOs' actions and initiatives in the field, and will meet the needs of people with disabilities and their families. This multi-purpose facility is also expected to contribute to the development of expertise and skills for a better social integration of those with special needs as part a partnership-based approach.
As regards the training center, it is designed to meet the Marrakech youth's qualification needs, and is part of the action plan of the Mohammed V Foundation for Solidarity which considers youth training as a critical tool for vocational and social integration.
The new center aims to promote youth employment through training sessions in the building industry and civil engineering. The various sections of the center will serve as a platform to promote the building industry in the region as well as a training and integration facility for the youth.
The two projects inaugurated by HM the King will consolidate the various actions carried out by the Mohammed V Foundation for Solidarity in the city of Marrakech, which are based on developing youth potential as real engines of development.
On this occasion, HM the King handed over commemorative plaques and trophies of the Foundation to heads of socially responsible corporations which contributed to the construction and funding of the Foundation's projects
