Sheikh Muhammed Hussein, who was received by Morocco’s ambassador to Palestine, Abderrahim Meziane, paid tribute to the efforts of the Kingdom of Morocco, King, government and people, in supporting the unalienable and legitimate rights of the Palestinian people, welcoming the solid ties between the Moroccan and Palestinian people.
During the meeting, the Imam of Al-Aqsa Mosque mentioned the difficult conditions facing the Palestinian people in general, and the City of Al-Quds and its Holy Sites in particular, as well as the transgressions targeting the Al-Aqsa Mosque, calling on the international community to act to put an end to the war against the Palestinians, reported the Palestinian news agency WAFA.
For his part, Morocco’s ambassador to Palestine said that the Kingdom, under the leadership of HM King Mohammed VI, Chairman of the Al-Quds Committee, “shall spare no effort in supporting the Palestinian people,” underlining Morocco's tireless efforts for a ceasefire in Gaza and the delivery of humanitarian aid to the populations of Gaza and Al-Quds.
The ambassador also highlighted the Bayt Mal Al Qods Asharif Agency's ongoing action, on His Majesty's High Instructions, in support of the Palestinian people and the preservation of the Holy City's historical and civilizational character, as well as in the fields of health, education and support for social projects and for youth and children.
Meziane also expressed his desire to develop bilateral cooperation between the Dar Al-Iftaa institution and other religious institutions in Palestine and their Moroccan counterparts, in order to raise it to the level of the privileged relations linking the two brotherly peoples, in the service of the Al-Aqsa Mosque and for the preservation of the Holy City's religious sites.
