At a press briefing following the meeting of the Government Council, Baitas told reporters that 11,048,656 members of the Medical Assistance Scheme (RAMED) unable to pay the membership fees were currently benefiting from medical coverage.
The minister delegate stressed that the government is committed to increasing the number of beneficiaries, as part of the project to generalize social protection, launched by His Majesty King Mohammed VI.
Through its ongoing efforts to review laws and decrees, and implement a series of measures, the government is making significant progress in reforming the social protection system, said Baitas, noting that this is a new project that was launched barely a year ago and that needs to be constantly improved to be fully successful.
