Under the High Patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, the two-day forum, organized by the Maroc Diplomatique media group, is intended as a crossroads for exchange and reflection among eminent figures from the diplomatic, economic and cultural realms.
Speaking at the event, Minister Delegate in charge of Digital Transition and Administrative Reform, Amal El Fallah Seghrouchni, said that in 25 years, Morocco has undergone in-depth economic, social, cultural and diplomatic transformation, placing the citizen at the heart of the Royal vision, where human development is intertwined with innovation, social justice and sustainability.
Over the past twenty-five years, numerous successful initiatives have been undertaken, she said, noting that modern infrastructure, such as the Dakhla Atlantic port and the Tiznit-Dakhla expressway, ensure fluid connectivity to international markets.
Referring to the New Development Model launched by HM the King in 2015, Seghrouchni said the project aims to rethink national priorities and instill a momentum of sustainable and inclusive growth.
For her part, Secretary of State to the Minister of Agriculture, Maritime Fisheries, Rural Development and Water and Forests, in charge of Maritime Fisheries, Zakia Driouich, stressed that HM King Mohammed VI's policy for the Kingdom's southern provinces is characterized by an integrated, multi-sectoral approach.
Souad Mekkaoui, co-founding Director General of Maroc Diplomatique, emphasized that the 4th edition of the MD Sahara Forum revolves around a self-evident theme, marking two major milestones: the first 25 years of HM King Mohammed VI's reign, and the 10 years of in-depth transformations in the Southern Provinces.
The Forum's program features panels on "Major Royal Projects: An In-depth Transformation", "Morocco's Influence on the International Scene," "South-South Cooperation and the Role of the Southern Provinces," "Atlantic Morocco and the African Dimension" and "Morocco's Major Diplomatic Overtures, the Vision of a King.”
According to its organizers, the MD Sahara is a vision for the future, symbolizing a resolutely modern, inclusive and flourishing Morocco, where economy and culture intertwine to move towards a promising future.
