Endowed with new powers, ANRE becomes the country's multi-energy “watchdog”, covering renewable energies, natural gas and green hydrogen, he stated, noting that “this visionary and timely reform positions Morocco as a model in terms of energy sovereignty and competitiveness”.
To the Franco-Lebanese geopolitologist, “empowering ANRE is not just a technical progress, it's an inclusive national project that protects the interests of all and guarantees transparent, effective regulation to support strategic sectors' growth and attract local and international investors”.
This reform, he explained, “comes at just the right time in a world marked by major energy and geopolitical crises”, as it strengthens Morocco's resilience and offers a federating platform beyond its borders on a regional and global scale in terms of energy transition.
“With a strengthened ANRE, Morocco continues to prove that the energy transition can be a lever for development and peace on a global scale,” he added.
