The Kingdom of Morocco, boasting excellent relations with the Caribbean countries, has contributed to preserving the region's food security through its supply of fertilizers, Joseph Pierre said in a statement to the press on the occasion of his participation in the 16th MEDays International Forum.
Saint Lucia’s Prime Minister emphasized the importance of South-South cooperation in promoting ties between the peoples of Africa and the Caribbean given their shared history, stating that Morocco, with its excellent relations with the region, is spearheading this cooperation.
He seized the opportunity to express his gratitude to HM King Mohammed VI for His efforts in favor of the Caribbean region, noting that both Africa and the Caribbean share common challenges linked to the impacts of climate change, including flooding and water stress.
Joseph Pierre also spoke about cooperation between Morocco and Saint Lucia in the field of education, highlighting Morocco's contribution to the promotion of this sector through scholarships offered to students from the Caribbean country.
Under the High Patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, the 16th MEDays Forum, held until November 30 under the theme “Sovereignty and Resilience: Towards a New Global Balance”, brings together over 250 high-level speakers, including heads of state and government, political decision-makers, Nobel Prize winners, heads of major international companies and influential figures.
