The Kingdom is represented by five teams in this international competition, which brings together over 300 teams from 90 countries and hundreds of young people from around the globe to showcase their skills in innovation and sustainable technological solutions.

In a statement to MAP, Inès Abdelkhaleq, coordinator of the teams from the Moroccan association "LOOP For Science & Technology," the national partner of the World Robot Olympiad, emphasized that the Moroccan teams are determined to achieve strong results to demonstrate the potential of the Kingdom's youth in robotics and technological innovation.

Abdelkhaleq highlighted that these teams aspire to honorably represent Morocco at this global event, which provides an opportunity to exchange experiences with international teams and discover the latest innovations in technology and robotics.

She also noted that the Moroccan teams, hailing from various cities across the Kingdom, secured their spots thanks to their outstanding performances during the national tournament held last May in Casablanca by the "LOOP For Science & Technology" Association.

Talal Bâaj, coach of the Moroccan team "MINDCRAFT BRAVO," stated that his team is participating in the finals of the World Robot Olympiad to compete with international teams, enhance their performance level, and refine their future designs.

He added that this competition offers a unique opportunity to test the robot model that the team from Tangier has been working on for the past six months. He also pointed out that the six members of the team, competing in the "Robomission Junior" category, eagerly anticipate the jury’s feedback and evaluations.

Meanwhile, Zineb El Amrani, a member of the "NEXTECH" team from Casablanca, shared that her team is presenting an innovative project titled "Terra Genius" at the finals. This robot is specifically designed to support sustainable agriculture with capabilities for planting, monitoring, and irrigation.

This project, entered in the "Future Innovators Senior" category, aims to leverage technology to benefit agriculture and reflects the team’s commitment to innovative technical solutions for tackling environmental and agricultural challenges, she added.

In addition to "MINDCRAFT BRAVO" and "NEXTECH," other Moroccan teams participating in the event include "THE CYBERNAUTS" from El Jadida in the "Robomission Senior" category, "MINDCRAFT" from Tangier in the "Future Engineers" category, and "MINDCRAFT DELTA" from Tangier in the "Robomission Elementary" category.

The World Robot Olympiad, which runs until November 30, is an international competition aimed at fostering creativity and robotics skills among young people aged 8 to 19, while encouraging them to explore science, technology, and education in a fun and engaging way.
