The agreement, signed by ONDH President Otmane Gair and World Bank Country Director for the Maghreb and Malta Ahmadou Moustapha Ndiaye, aims to strengthen institutional tools for decision-making and improve oversight of social initiatives.
The ONDH and World Bank teams are working together to pool resources and expertise, Ndiaye said after the signing ceremony. The partnership, he added, will focus on collaborative tools for monitoring and evaluation, supporting Morocco’s broader human development policies.
The Social State Project includes key components such as a national population register, a unified social register, and a direct social assistance program, Gair said, adding that the MoU would help establish a system to guide public authorities in implementing and assessing these initiatives effectively.
The collaboration will also involve studies, surveys, and simulations to ensure the long-term sustainability and relevance of the programs, Gair added.
