During a panel at an international conference on the values of peace and coexistence in the African context, participants emphasized that the Commandery of the Faithful safeguards religion from extremism, radicalism, and hatred, highlighting its role in strengthening spiritual security to support the foundations of peace, security, and development in Africa.
They pointed out that the Commandery of the Faithful fosters the progress of the nation's components, and establishes the values of moderate, fair and tolerant behavior within the framework of the legitimate tenets of Islam.
The Commandery of the Faithful endeavors to promote the values of peace, coexistence and tolerance in order to strengthen the human, spiritual and fraternal ties that unite the Kingdom of Morocco and other African countries, they added.
Organized over two days by the Mohammed VI Foundation of African Ulema to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the Great Mosque of Dakar, this event highlights the shared religious values among African scholars and their role in fostering peaceful coexistence across the continent.
