Speaking at the opening ceremony of the 24th National Theater Festival in Tetouan, held under the High Patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, Bensaid said that Moroccan theater is the driving force behind other artistic disciplines, highlighting the Royal attention to this art form, and culture in general.
In this regard, the minister pointed out that theater is a comprehensive artistic project involving scenography, writing, set design, acting, and direction, thus forming an integrated economic ecosystem within the field of cultural and creative industries. He described it it as the mirror of society, as it addresses the issues and concerns of Moroccans from different perspectives.
Bensaid also mentioned that theater in Morocco has always been a priority, so that it can serve as a source of inspiration for other arts. "We have worked with actors and professionals to strengthen the foundations of a robust cultural industry, which highlights Morocco's collective identity, with theater remaining a key element, as a global creative ecosystem aimed at supporting the transformations our country is experiencing," he underlined.
