Describing Morocco as a “strategic partner” and “friendly country”, Albares said that Spain intends to promote the presence of the Spanish language in Morocco as part of efforts to strengthen cultural ties between the two countries.
The head of Spanish diplomacy, who chaired the first Global Observatory of Spanish in Madrid, announced that two in-depth studies on the situation of the Spanish language in Morocco and Brazil will be launched, in order to strengthen the Spanish language’s presence in key areas.
As such, studies will be conducted by the Global Observatory of Spanish to evaluate the impact and contribution of the language in strategic sectors such as science, technology and diplomacy.
This initiative aims to make the promotion of the Spanish language a priority, and to strengthen Spain's cultural and linguistic ties with partner countries such as Morocco, said the head of Spanish diplomacy.
