Upon his arrival at the Exhibition Center, HRH Prince Moulay Rachid was welcomed by Moulay Abdellah Alaoui, president of the Royal Moroccan Equetsrian Federation (FRMSE), before reviewing a section of the Auxiliary Forces who paid the honors.
His Royal Highness was then greeted by the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries, Rural Development, Water and Forests, Mohammed Sadiki, the Wali of the Casablanca-Settat region, Governor of the Casablanca prefecture, Mohamed Mhidia, the President of the Regional Council, Abdellatif Maazouz, and the Acting Governor of the province of El Jadida, Mohamed Samir El Khamlichi.
HRH Prince Moulay Rachid was also greeted by the President of the Provincial Council, the President of the municipality of Haouzia, the members of the Board of Directors of the Horse Show Association, the representatives of the show sponsors, as well as by executives from the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, Rural Development, Water and Forests.
At the entrance of the Exhibition Hall, His Royal Highness was greeted by Al Asri Saeed Ahmed Al Dhaheri, UAE Ambassador to Morocco, Sheikh Dr. Ammar Bin Nasser Al Mualla, from the UAE, Major General Faris Khalaf Al Mazrouei, Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Heritage Authority (UAE), Mohamed Ahmad Al Harbi, Director General of the Emirtaes Arabian Horse Association, Issa Ben Mohammed Al Mohannadi, Chairman of the Racing and Equestrian Club (Qatari Equestrian Federation), and Salim Al Barak, Chairman of the Arabian Horse Organization (Saudi Arabia).
HRH Prince Moulay Rachid then toured the various areas and villages of the Exhibition, dedicated to sponsors, institutions, breeders, craftsmen and the kingdom’s regions, as well as the international village and the art and culture village.
His Royal Highness then attended, at the main arena, shows, artistic performances and equestrian acrobatics performed by Moroccan and foreign troops and riders.
Subsequently, HRH Prince Moulay Rachid headed to the Tbourida arena where he followed fantasia shows hosted by 18 Sorbas representing the different regions of the Kingdom.
On this occasion, His Royal Highness posed for a souvenir photo with the Moqaddems of these Sorbas.
Organized under the High Patronage of HM King Mohammed VI, the El Jadida Horse Show, which has become over the years a must platform for meetings and exchanges between the various stakeholders in the horse industry, highlights the rich horse cultural heritage of the Kingdom and the multiple uses of horses in sport, culture and festivals.
This flagship event highlights the special place of the horse, this divine creature, in the history, the national cultural identity and the collective memory.
Initiated by the Horse Show Association, this event, which has acquired an ever-growing national and international reputation, offers a rich and diversified scientific, cultural and fun program.
Thus, several horse-related activities are organized as part of high-level competitions or exhibitions: the Barb Horse Champions Cup, the Arab-Barb Horse Champions Cup, the International A-Show for Purebred Arabians, the Moroccan Cup of Purebred Arabian Horse Breeders, the HM King Mohammed VI's Grand Prix of Show Jumping and of course the HM King Mohammed VI’s Grand Prix of Tbourida.
Regarding cultural and scientific activities, the horse will be spotlighted during numerous conferences, workshops and roundtables, as well as during multiple fun activities reserved for youth.
