During this visit, made at the official invitation of Turkish authorities, Hammouchi met with Türkiye’s Deputy Interior Minister, Munir Karaloglu, and the Director General of Intelligence, Selami Yildiz, according to a press release from the Hub of the General Directorate of National Security and the General Directorate of Territorial Surveillance.
These talks were an opportunity to review the various security issues of common interest, the levels of existing cooperation between the two countries in the security field, as well as the ways to promote this cooperation to ensure security and stability and neutralize common security threats and challenges.
According to the press release, these bilateral meetings were marked by the convergence of views and the common will to consolidate security cooperation mechanisms between the two countries and to share expertise and experiences in the various security specialties, in line with the distinguished relations between the Kingdom of Morocco and the Republic of Türkiye.
These bilateral security talks were held on the occasion of the visit of the Director General of National Security and Territorial Surveillance to the Internal Security Equipment Exhibition (IGEF24) hosted by Ankara on September 19-21, which is a global platform to showcase the latest technological developments and inventions in the field of security and defense.
During his visit to the various pavilions of this exhibition, Hammouchi was informed about innovative equipment in the field of internal security and technologies of security and police services that will improve the security system in terms of effectiveness and efficiency in combating emerging terrorist threats.
This visit reflects the growing interest in promoting and developing international security cooperation mechanisms and strengthening bilateral and multilateral partnerships in the police field as an effective tool to address the international and regional ramifications of terrorist risks and threats from transnational organized crime.
