In statements to MAP upon their release from the local prison of Ain Aicha (province of Taounate), they also wished health and long life to His Majesty the King for this magnanimous initiative and paid tribute to the numerous actions undertaken by the Sovereign to ensure the progress and prosperity of His people.
"Long live His Majesty the King, may God protect Him for His family and the Moroccan people!" they exclaimed, expressing their great joy at being able to reunite with their loved ones and resume their agricultural activities legally after the adoption of the new cannabis cultivation policy.
The Ministry of Justice announced on Monday that on the occasion of the anniversary of the King and the People's Revolution, His Majesty King Mohammed VI graciously granted His Pardon to 4,831 people convicted, prosecuted, or wanted in cases related to cannabis cultivation who met the required conditions to benefit from the Pardon.
Besides its humanitarian aspects, this High Royal Solicitude will allow the beneficiaries of this Pardon to integrate into the new strategy, in which the concerned provinces are engaged, following the creation of the National Agency for the Regulation of Cannabis-Related Activities and the structuring impact of its activity on the economic and social levels through the industrialization, transformation, export of cannabis, and import of its products for medical, pharmaceutical, and industrial purposes, as well as its contribution to the development of alternative crops and non-agricultural activities.
