In a statement to MAP, Fettouhi emphasized that His Majesty the King's Speech provided a realistic and scientific diagnosis of the water situation, noting that Morocco is in a phase that requires optimal management of water scarcity, following the effects of climate change.
The Royal Speech explained the current water situation by several factors linked to drought and climate change, but also by our consumption patterns and water governance, he noted, adding that His Majesty the King focused on the issue of governance and the need to adopt a complementary and integrated vision between all departments, based on complementarity and coordination with a view to ensuring drinking water supplies in favor of food security.
He underlined that "the Royal Speech also looked at the various strategies adopted by the Kingdom to manage water resources, in particular the policy of building dams, which has borne fruit”.
