The Moroccan Agency for the Development of Investment and Exports (AMDIE), in collaboration with the Groupement des Industries Marocaines Aéronautiques et Spatiales (GIMAS), the Ministry of Investment, Convergence, and Evaluation of Public Policies, and the Ministry of Industry and Trade, is organizing Morocco's participation in this major aviation industry event.
The Kingdom occupies a 180 sqm pavilion where business meetings will be held with representatives of international institutions and various global players in the aeronautics industry. The aim is to showcase Morocco's expertise and strengthen partnerships with key players in the industry.
The event includes B2G (business-to-government) meetings, which will be attended by the Minister of Industry and Trade, Ryad Mezzour.
A large Moroccan delegation, made up of officials and professionals from the aeronautics sector, is taking part in this prestigious event. Led by AMDIE's Director General, Ali Seddiki, the delegation includes several key public and private sector institutions such as the National Defense Administration (ADN), the Caisse de Dépôt et de Gestion (CDG), Royal Air Maroc, Medz, TMSA, and the Institut des Métiers de l'Aéronautique (IMA).
In addition, companies operating in Morocco's aerospace sector will be showcasing their expertise at the event, including Bi Engineering, Dona, GLPF, NTS, OB Electronique, TDM Aerospace, Structural Aerospace Morocco, LEANCAM, and Trigo.
With its position as an industrial hub, Morocco offers a world-class aerospace platform with a dynamic ecosystem. According to AMDIE, more than 142 companies operate in the aerospace industry in Morocco, employing 20,000 people and generating export sales of two billion dollars.
The sector has an integration rate of 40% and average annual growth of 17%, well above the world average. These performances testify to Morocco's excellent prospects as a preferred destination for investment in the aeronautics industry.
The event, whose opening ceremony on Monday was attended by Morocco's ambassador to the UK, Hakim Hajoui, offers a varied five-day program including conferences and panel discussions, country presentations, and exhibitions.
