Speaking at a meeting with representatives of Arab, Islamic and foreign news agencies, held on the sidelines of the launch of the Hajj Media Hub in Makkah on Monday, Al-Aqran explained that news agencies' media coverage of the Hajj is an opportunity to highlight the values of the Islamic model.
In this sense, he noted that SPA has established partnerships with ten Arab, Islamic and foreign news agencies around the world to provide coverage of the Hajj 1445 season, noting that this is an opportunity to shed light on the services provided to pilgrims and convey their feelings and sentiments to the world.
After highlighting the role of news agencies as a source of accurate, verified and credible information, the Saudi official noted the importance of partnering with foreign news agencies, given that these countries are home to a large number of pilgrims.
Al-Aqran also assured that the Saudi authorities are easing access to information for journalists covering the Hajj 1445 season, by allowing them to communicate with the relevant officials to obtain the required information.
The Hajj Media Hub Forum, which continues in Makkah until June 16, aims to ensure an integrated media environment to support journalists in their coverage of the Hajj 1445 AH season.
According to the organizers, the Forum is expected to welcome over 1,500 journalists from 150 local and international media outlets.
