Cherkaoui told MAP, on the sidelines of "GITEX Africa 2024", that the stand of the agency and the agency's startup incubator "BMAQ Innovation Hub" reinforced regular exchanges between Moroccans and Palestinians, as well as the interaction of exhibitors with digital markets around the world.
The GITEX show allowed five project leaders from Al Quds to compete with more than 200 Moroccan, African and international startups, he said, noting that this experience can help Palestinian startups to "cross natural and virtual borders" and "promote inspiring and innovative ideas that can make a difference, particularly regarding the lives of young people themselves and their environment and society".
For her part, Linda Maher, founder of the "Sayyad" Palestine project, stressed that participation in the "GITEX" exhibition, with the support and supervision of the Bayt Mal Al-Quds Acharif Agency, is a unique opportunity to discover a set of innovative projects led by young Palestinians, "which will open up promising prospects for foreign investment".
Sakina Marzouk, founder of the Moroccan start-up "Bouquet Zone", said that the stand of the Bayt Mal Al-Quds Acharif Agency could contribute to strengthening the chances of access to Moroccan and foreign investment platforms.
Held under the High Patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, Gitex Africa 2024 is marked by the participation of over 1,500 exhibitors representing more than 130 countries.
The event is a major crossroads for exchanges on the latest innovations in technology, particularly in the areas of artificial intelligence, healthcare and cybersecurity.
