Para Athletics World Championships: Morocco Harvests 9 Medals

Ra - Morocco harvested 2 gold, 4 silver and 3 bronze medals during the 11th Para Athletics World Championships, held on May 17-25 in Kobe in Japan.

Ayoub Sadni (400 m/T47) and Youssra Karim (discus throw/F41) won gold medals, while Fatima Ezzahra El Idrissi (1500 m/T13), Abdelilah Gani (shot put/F53), Azeddine Nouiri (shot put/F34) and Mouncef Bouja (400 m/T12) received the silver medals.

The bronze medals went to Fouzia El Kassioui (javelin throw/F34), Saïda Amoudi (shot put/F34) and Zakaria Derhem (shot put/F33).

Some 1,300 athletes representing 100 countries took part in the Para Athletics World Championships in Kobe.
