The opening ceremony, coinciding with the 68th anniversary of the DGSN's establishment, was presided over by Minister of the Interior Abdelouafi Laftit and Director General of National Security and Territorial Surveillance Abdellatif Hammouchi. The event drew several government members, Interpol President Ahmed Naser Al-Raisi, Secretary General of the Council of Arab Interior Ministers Mohamed Ben Ali Koman, and other prominent judicial, civil, and military figures.
Attendees witnessed a parade showcasing the logistical and operational capabilities of various DGSN units, along with a video presentation highlighting the rebirth of Agadir after the 1960 earthquake and the management of the recent Al Haouz earthquake. The ceremony also featured a professional demonstration of intervention and self-defense techniques.
A key highlight was the introduction of the "E-Blagh" platform, enabling real-time reporting of inappropriate or illegal online content that could incite electronic crimes, violence, or terrorism, while ensuring user data protection.
Further demonstrations included a professional show by motorcycle units and a video simulation of special forces and forensic police dismantling a terrorist cell. The ceremony also featured a weapons handling show, a video on Morocco's security management for large events, a drone light show, and the presentation of Royal Wissams to distinguished police officers.
The DGSN set up several public stands showcasing demonstrations by the mounted police, motorcycle units, close protection and intervention units (BCI), weapons handling, self-defense techniques, and the canine brigade.
The event also hosted conferences on topics such as the management of the Al Haouz earthquake, artificial intelligence and security, the Moroccan model for managing large events, and the role of genetics in criminal investigations.
