This birthday recalls the joyous moments of Thursday May 8, 2003, when the Ministry of the Royal Household, Protocol and Chancellery announced the blessed birth, at the Royal Palace in Rabat, of baby boy whom His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God assist Him, has named Moulay El Hassan, in tribute to the memory of His August Grandfather, the late HM King Hassan II, may God have his soul in His holy mercy.
The celebration of HRH Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan's 21st birthday thus renews the immutable attachment of Moroccans to the Glorious Alaouite Throne through the oath of allegiance uniting them to HM the King, Commander of the Faithful, defender of the faith and guarantor of the supreme interests of the Nation and its citizens.
This happy event is also an opportunity to look back on the main activities of HRH Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan, who on April 28 at the Hassan II arena at the Mechouar in Rabat, presided over the “HM King Mohammed VI” Grand Prix award ceremony for the official Royal Guard 3* show jumping competition.
On the 22nd of the same month, His Royal Highness chaired the opening ceremony of the 16th Morocco International Agriculture Trade Show at Mechouar Stinia “Sahrij Souani” in Meknes, held under the High Patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI on the theme “Climate and agriculture: for sustainable and resilient production systems”.
On December 18 last year, HRH Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan received at the Palais des Hôtes in Rabat HRH Prince Turki bin Mohammed bin Fahd bin Abdulaziz, Saudi Minister of State and member of the Council of Ministers, bearing a verbal message to His Majesty King Mohammed VI from the Custodian of the Holy Mosques, HM King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, Sovereign of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
On December 1st, on the orders of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, Commander of the Faithful, rogatory prayers were performed at Al-Masjid Al-Aadam in Rabat in the presence of HRH Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan and HRH Prince Moulay Rachid, thus perpetuating the tradition of the Prophet Sidna Mohammed, may peace and blessings upon Him, whenever rain is scarce.
In November last year, HRH Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan presided over the installation of the new members of the Academy of the Kingdom of Morocco, on the occasion of the opening of the first session of this prestigious institution in its new configuration.
On July 30, 2023, His Royal Highness Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan chaired a luncheon in Tetouan, offered by the Head of Government, to mark the 24th anniversary of the accession of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God assist Him, to the throne of His glorious ancestors.
The next day, on the Orders of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, Supreme Commander and Chief of theGeneral Staff of the Royal Armed Forces (FAR), His Royal Highness received, at the Cercle-mess officiers of the Royal Guard in Tetouan, a message of wishes, fidelity and loyalty addressed to the Sovereign by FAR family on the occasion of the 24th anniversary of the accession of HM the King to the Throne of His glorious Ancestors.
On this occasion, HRH Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan received the top-ranked graduates of the major military and paramilitary schools and institutes, before chairing a luncheon offered by HM the King, Supreme Commander and Chief of General Staff of the Royal Armed Forces in honor of the personalities invited to the oath-taking ceremony of the “Her Royal Highness Princess Lalla Meryem” graduating classes.
On June 22, HRH Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan, on the High Instructions of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, Supreme Commander and Chief of the General Staff of the Royal Armed Forces, presided over the graduation ceremony of the 23rd class of the Higher Defense Course and the 57th class of the Staff Course at the Royal College of Higher Military Education in Kenitra.
On May 14, HRH Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan, on the orders of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, Supreme Commander and Chief of the General Staff of the Royal Armed Forces, chaired a luncheon offered by His Majesty the King at the Cercle Mess Officiers in Rabat, to mark the 67th anniversary of the creation of the Royal Armed Forces.
His Royal Highness was also present alongside HM the King during Councils of Ministers’ meetings, working sessions, as well as at religious evenings that the Sovereign, Commander of the Faithful, chaired on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan 1445, the religious evening in commemoration of the Laylat Al-Qadr and the prayer of Eid Al-Fitr.
Each of HRH Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan's public appearances thus perpetuates a long tradition designed to initiate and familiarize the Crown Prince with the responsibilities he will be called upon to assume within a society that remains attached to its values and its plural identity.
