In a statement to MAP, Majli praised Morocco's "serious and bold" efforts and initiatives to promote dialogue between Palestinians and Israelis as a basis for peace.
In this context, he noted that the Kingdom of Morocco has for decades played a pivotal role in the establishment of a just and comprehensive peace enabling coexistence between the peoples of the Middle East region, far from any logic of war or conflict.
The Palestinian expert pointed out that Morocco pays particular attention and follows the situation in Al Quds closely, thanks to the efforts made by HM King Mohammed VI, Chairman of the Al Quds Committee, to defend the Palestinian cause and the right of Palestinians to establish an independent state with East Al Quds as its capital.
This consistent stance, he underlined, reflects wisdom, farsightedness and an unshakeable determination to promote a definitive resolution of the Palestinian question.
He also welcomed the "humane and noble" positions expressed by the Kingdom, through the Bayt Mal Al Quds Asharif agency, which plays a key role in alleviating the suffering of the Palestinians and safeguarding the civilizational and religious character of the holy city of Al Quds.
Morocco highlighted the commitment of HM King Mohammed VI, Chairperson of the Al-Quds Committee, in support of the Palestinian cause during the hearings at the International Court of Justice (ICJ), as part of the case requesting an advisory opinion on the legal consequences arising from Israel's policies and practices in the occupied Palestinian territory, including East Jerusalem.
