In a statement, the Tanzanian football body announced that the sanction had been pronounced against coach Amrouche by the CAF Disciplinary Committee on Thursday.
In the same vein, the Executive Committee of the Tanzanian Federation also suspended coach Adel Amrouche, added the same source, without specifying the duration of the suspension.
The Tanzanian national team's assistant coach, Hemed Suleiman, has been appointed interim coach, according to the same source, adding that he will be assisted by Juma Mgunda.
Adel Amrouche had made unfounded accusations against the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) prior to the Morocco-Tanzania match on the first day of the African Cup of Nations, remarks which were condemned as "provocative" by the Tanzania Football Federation (TFF).
"We do not support the statements made by our coach Adel Amrouche," stressed TFF president Wallace Karia in a statement to local media "Azam TV".
The Tanzanian football official said that his federation respects Morocco for its hard work in developing the game.
"We know what to do about coach Amrouche's reckless and provocative statement," he pointed out.
