Against Euro, the national currency increased by 0.16%, the Central Bank noted in its Monthly Review of the Economic, Monetary and Financial Situation, adding that no foreign currency auctions have been conducted by BAM with banks since December 2021.
On the interbank market, the volume of foreign currency exchanged for dirhams stood at MAD 77.3 billion in November 2023, up 91.2% year-on-year.
In November, the volume of banks' transactions with customers was MAD 27.5 billion for spot purchases and MAD 21.1 billion for forward purchases, compared with MAD 41.7 billion and MAD 37.2 billion, respectively, a year earlier.
Sales amounted to MAD 29.4 billion for spot transactions and MAD 5 billion for forward transactions, compared with MAD 44.5 billion and MAD 13.9 billion, respectively.
