Represented by the Kingdom's ambassador to Doha, Mohamed Sitri, Morocco secured its position on the Executive Board alongside Egypt.
The session also determined Sur city in the Sultanate of Oman as the Arab Tourism Capital for 2024. Moreover, it was selected as the venue for the forthcoming meeting scheduled in December 2024.
During the Doha meeting, several crucial topics were discussed, including bolstering support for the Palestinian economy within the tourism sector, the formulation of the International Code for the Protection of Tourists in the Middle East, enhancement of education and training quality in the region, collaboration in creating joint regional tourism products, fostering inter-Arab cooperation in tourism, and fostering a consumer culture among Arab tourists.
