“If there is one thing that has attracted my attention over the last fifteen years, it is the action of HM King Mohammed VI that translates today into a social care and assistance program, as part of His commitment to promoting the personal security of the Kingdom's citizens”, Olano, also a professor of public law in Colombia, told MAP
The Colombian expert pointed out that the Direct Social Assistance Program, resulting from the Royal will, aims to protect the less fortunate and promote social justice, in coordination with the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals.
This program will allow Moroccan families to find the path to progress, on the basis of equity and integration, so that the 60% of people who are not covered by social security systems can enjoy their social rights, including health and housing. This objective, Olano added, will materialize thanks to a significant budget whose implementation was ordered by the Sovereign between 2024 and 2026, in transparency and good governance.
These two principles (transparency and good governance), underlined the Colombian expert, are mechanisms that characterize the implementation of this program and are part of a genuine “social revolution”.
