“In an international context marked by soaring prices of energy and food products and the recurrence of drought that threatens a large part of the globe, the implementation of this program is necessary,” Arribas told MAP.
Underlining the importance of the large-scale Royal project of the generalization of social protection, the Spanish political analyst noted that the Direct Social Assistance Program is intended for targeted families to raise their living standards and fight poverty and precariousness.
According to him, its implementation is based on clear criteria to achieve the expected objectives, particularly in terms of encouraging children's education, improving the situation of vulnerable categories and promoting equality of chances and opportunities between the different components of society.
As a result, Arribas said that this program enshrines the right of access of all citizens to basic services without discrimination, while maintaining an effective development policy that contributes to improving economic growth and social inclusion and cohesion.
