"With this project, Morocco stands at the juncture long awaited by its people, at the turning point of its social history," Heydt, a member of the Observatory for Geopolitical Studies (OEG) in Paris and the Centre for Prospective Studies and International Information, conveyed to MAP.
"After the many developments and global recognitions of the Kingdom's capacity to position itself as a formidable nation adept at addressing the most serious and substantial challenges (earthquakes, pandemics, economic upheavals, global matters, and so on), the role of the human being could no longer delay its essential transformation," he emphasized. For him, "rebalancing the Moroccan development model and establishing strong social foundations represent a challenge that will become a lasting fixture of the Kingdom's social landscape."
Referring to the key elements of the New Development Model initiated by HM King Mohammed VI, the Franco-Swiss academic observed that the Kingdom is in the process of establishing the cornerstones of a genuinely social state.
Professor Heydt also underscored the importance of incorporating the implementation of this program into the 2024 Finance Bill, enabling it to "move towards governmental realization, shaped around the priorities presented to the Council of Ministers chaired by the Sovereign."
Highlighting the momentum of the extensive reforms launched under the Royal guidance, he noted that the government will be dedicated to the successful execution of this significant Royal project, which emanates from the Sovereign's Vision.
