Morocco: Over 11.1 Mln Arrivals by End of Sept. 2023 (DEPF)

Rabat - The destination "Morocco" exceeded 11.1 million arrivals during the first nine months of this year, after 7.7 million arrivals at the end of September 2022, according to the Directorate of Studies and Financial Forecasts (DEPF) under the Ministry of Economy and Finance.

In September, the month in which the Al Haouz earthquake occurred, the flow of arrivals rose by 7% compared with the same month the previous year, exceeding 960,000 arrivals, according to the DEPF in its October business report.

These arrivals were up by almost 9% compared with September 2019, the same source said.

In addition, the number of overnight stays in classified accommodation establishments consolidated, in annual variation, by 53% at the end of August 2023. Compared to the end of August 2019, these overnight stays increased by 2.6%.
