Royal Navy Assists 59 Would-be Irregular Migrants (Military Source)
Rabat - A Royal Navy coastguard assisted, on Sunday north-east of the Port of Tan-Tan (20 km from the coast), an inflatable boat with 59 sub-Saharan irregular migrants on board, as part of a search and rescue mission, a military source said.
The people rescued, including 8 women and 4 minors, received the necessary care on board before being handed over to the Royal Gendarmerie for the usual administrative procedures, the same source added.
