During a visit to the various installations and units of the "Green Energy Park" in Benguerir, in the province of Rehamna, Schulze, who was accompanied by a large German delegation, affirmed that Morocco has the necessary skills and experience in the production of renewable energies for both the national and international markets.
In a statement to MAP on this occasion, the German Minister noted that this platform, which works to develop systems linked to solar energy and contributes to capacity building in the Kingdom and on the African continent in this field, plays a major role in strengthening efforts to eliminate carbon dioxide emissions.
She also expressed her country's willingness to further promote cooperation with Morocco in the field of renewable energies, given the importance of this sector for both countries, and hence for the whole world.
For his part, Director General of the Research Institute for Solar Energy and New Energies (IRESEN), Samir Rachidi, said that Schulze's visit reflected the excellent level of the fruitful bilateral cooperation with German institutions operating under the supervision of the German federal government.
