"The determination of HM the King is a key factor in the success of this tripartite bid," stressed Moratinos in an interview published by Maroc Hebdo in its latest issue, expressing his impression of the way in which the three countries have managed this bid and Morocco's commitment to making it a success.

He also assured that Morocco, like Spain and Portugal, will benefit from this global sporting event, whose effects will also be geopolitical and economic.

"Morocco can only hope for positive outcomes at all levels," he noted, expressing his conviction that the organisation of this World Cup will enable the Kingdom to develop further, particularly through the upgraded infrastructure, anticipated financial benefits, and the revitalization of the tourism sector, among other aspects.

Noting that the Morocco-Spain-Portugal bid opens the door to a new global dynamic in political, economic, sporting, and geopolitical terms, Moratinos pointed out that it will also enable the three host countries to undertake joint investments and projects, thereby helping to strengthen regional integration and ties between Africa and Europe.

"For decades, there has been discussion of joint infrastructure projects between Morocco and Spain. We've talked about the fixed link, but now football has allowed us to expedite this kind of project and consideration," he explained.

The multicultural aspect will also be present at the 2030 World Cup, in the sense that this joint organization will be an opportunity for the peoples of the three countries to get to know each other better, he added, maintaining that this will be "an essential benefit of the event."
