"The Moroccan people have truly shown resilience. We are confident that the recovery will be very swift, and we are pleased to support Morocco in this endeavor," Lario emphasized in a statement to the press during a panel discussion held as part of the Annual Meetings of the World Bank Group and the International Monetary Fund.
"We have some projects in the affected areas [by the earthquake]. Efforts are being made to accelerate the recovery," he added.
He also highlighted the "very good cooperative relationship" between IFAD and Morocco in the field of agricultural development, expressing the institution's willingness to support the Kingdom in promoting agricultural activities.
"We prioritize the creation of rural employment for small farmers, offering them opportunities to continue cultivating their land through the generation of sufficient income, the valorization of production, support for climate change adaptation, and improved water management," explained the President of IFAD.
