Dakhla: Pirogue Carrying 155 Would-be Irregular Migrants Arrested (Military Source)
Rabat - A Royal Navy patrol boat intercepted, on Monday, a pirogue carrying 155 would-be irregular migrants, including 14 minors and 3 women, all of Senegalese nationality, 50 km southwest of the city of Dakhla, a military source said.
The boat in question had left the port of Dakar on October 2, 2023, bound for the Canary Islands, said the same source, adding that the people rescued received the necessary care before being handed over to the Royal Gendarmerie for the usual administrative procedures.
