"We are very impressed by the action taken by Morocco in the field of education in the space of a month" following the earthquake, she stressed in a statement to the press, on the occasion of a visit to the Haut Atlas Collegiate high school in the commune of Asni (province of Al Haouz), accompanied by Minister of National Education, Preschool Learning and Sports, Chakib Benmoussa, president of the World Bank Group (WB), Ajay Banga, Minister of Economy and Finance, Nadia Fettah, and Governor of the province of Al Haouz, Rachid Benchikhi.
"We've seen how children are returning to school, and how much interest there is in building schools for the future," she said, explaining that the most important tribute to the memory of the victims of this natural disaster is to ensure a better future for their children.
"We saw how Morocco, in a spirit of solidarity and commitment, was able to face up to this tragedy", she stressed, while welcoming the strong mobilization and resilience shown by the Kingdom, King, people and government, to overcome the repercussions of this natural disaster.
"This is the goal we aspire to during our meetings in favor of the world. A world united for a better future", concluded Georgieva.
