The tournament, held at the Dakar Arena sports complex in Diamniadio, located 30 km from Senegal's capital, featured Bertal's victory over Egyptian Ayyad Yomna Ahmed Rezk Abdalla with a 5-0 score in the final match on Friday.
Bertal had secured her place in the Paris Olympics on Thursday, and she was joined by her compatriot Mouttaki Yasmine (50 kg), who was also set to compete in the tournament's final on Friday with hopes of securing a gold medal against Algeria's Boualam Roumaysa.
Another final scheduled for Friday featured Khadija El Mardi facing off against Kenyan Andiego Elizabeth Adhiambo.
The Moroccan national team, under the guidance of coaches Abdelhak Achik and Youssef Sourour and the national technical direction of Othmane Fadili, includes Yasmine Mouttaki (50 kg), Widad Bertal (54 kg), Laela El Ksiri (57 kg), Nissrine Amine (60 kg), Oumaima Belhabib (66 kg), and Khadija El Mardi (75 kg).
On the men's side, seven boxers, coached by Hicham Nafil, are representing Morocco: Saïd Mourtaji (51 kg), Soulaïmane Essemghouli (57 kg), Abdelhaq Nadir (63.5 kg), Mohamed Rabii (71 kg), Mohamed Assaghir (80 kg), Ayoub Maânni (92 kg), and Mohamed Firisse (+92 kg).
The Moroccan delegation is led by former World Champion Khalid Kandili, Vice-President of the Royal Moroccan Boxing Federation (FRMB).
