At the Beth El synagogue, members of the Jewish community from Casablanca and other Moroccan cities implored the Almighty to accept the victims in His Holy mercy and to grant patience and solace to their families. They also wished a speedy recovery to the injured.
On this occasion, prayers were offered to the Almighty to preserve His Majesty King Mohammed VI and crown the success of his various actions and initiatives.
They also prayed for the well-being of His Royal Highness Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan, Her Royal Highness Princess Lalla Khadija, His Royal Highness Prince Moulay Rachid, and all members of the illustrious Royal Family.
Prayers were also raised for the souls of the late King Mohammed V and the late King Hassan II, imploring the Most High to have the departed Sovereigns in His holy mercy.
"We consider tonight that we have lost people who are extremely close to us. We want to show the great closeness we have with the Moroccan people. Our people and our brothers," said Serge Berdugo, Secretary-General of the Council of Jewish Communities of Morocco, to the press.
"With a lot of pain, but at the same time with a lot of pride, we feel, like all Moroccans, the privilege of being part of a people that places such a great emphasis on solidarity, tolerance, friendship, and compassion," he added.
In this tragedy, Moroccan Jews, an integral part of the Moroccan nation, want to participate in this admirable wave of solidarity, Berdugo continued, noting that a comprehensive program will be prepared and implemented to alleviate the suffering of those in distress who have lost everything.
