"In His Throne Speech, His Majesty the King pointed out that: Whenever the conditions are right, and each time they commit to seriousness and to the spirit of patriotism, Moroccan youth always manage to dazzle the world with great, unprecedented accomplishments," recalled the Gabonese journalist in an interview with MAP.
She noted that the Sovereign, aware that the future of a nation depends to a large extent on the quality of its youth, is constantly putting in place all the mechanisms and means to encourage performance and excellence, in this case in sport.
Raïssa Laure Medza Me Ndong underlined the importance of the National Sports Strategy, involving the main stakeholders in a participatory approach, under the leadership of HM the King.
"From Qatar (World Cup 2022), to DR Congo, via Russia/New Zealand and Cameroon, where Moroccan pugilists were crowned African champions (13 medals), Morocco "is reaping what it has sown", said Raïssa Laure Medza Me Ndong, also President of Gabon’s Union of Women Reporters.
"Given all the efforts made to achieve these results, we can only be admire this feat," she added.
In Kinshasa, she noted, the Moroccan champions had overtaken some highly reputed countries, notably France, in the ranking table.
"There are no longer any small sports nations. Yesterday's supremacy no longer applies today," said the member of the Forum of African Women Journalists "Les Panafricaines".
Aware that sport is also a springboard for promotion, visibility and worldwide recognition, Morocco is constantly displaying its ambitions to the world. "The IXth Francophone Games are the best illustration of this," she emphasized.
For his part, Parfait Junior Boukinda, also a sports journalist at Gabon TV, pointed out that Morocco once again confirms that Africa is making progress in all areas.
"Africa has nothing to envy other continents. Morocco, under the leadership of His Majesty the King, has understood this quickly and well," he noted, pointing out that the successes achieved today are the fruit of meticulous work, carried out under the Sovereign's enlightened guidance, aimed at maintaining the gains made and building further prosperity.
"When the 'Discourse' passes and the conditions are right... Results follow," he concluded.
