"There is no doubt that the achievements of Moroccan sport are not the result of chance, but of hard, long-term work by the Moroccan authorities, who have invested enormously in youth, sport and sports infrastructure", he stressed, noting that the Kingdom, under the far-sighted leadership of HM King Mohammed VI, is a model in this area for Arab and African countries.

After recalling Morocco's great achievement in reaching the semi-finals of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, "an unprecedented feat" in the annals of Arab and African sport, Azeddine hailed the historic qualification of the Atlas Lionesses, who "forced admiration" at the Women's World Cup in Australia and New Zealand, where they punched their ticket for the round of sixteen at the expense of the German team, two-time world champions, "also a first in the history of Arab football", he said.
