Saudi Arabia: Morocco's Hamdallah Takes Al-Ittihad to Quarterfinals of King's Cup of Champions
Jeddah - Saudi Arabia's Al Ittihad team qualified for the quarterfinals of the King's Cup of Champions by beating Al Shabab team in a penalty shootout after the end of regulation time and extra time in a 1-1 draw, in a match played on Thursday night at King Abdullah Stadium in Jeddah.
Al Shabab team opened the score in the 40th minute through its player Moteb Al-Harbi, before Al Ittihad equalized in the 48th minute through its Moroccan striker Abderrazak Hamdallah.
In the penalty shootout, Al Ittihad won by 4 goals to 3, to qualify for the quarterfinals where they will face Al Feiha.
