In an editorial published on Tuesday in the Arabic-speaking daily "Al Ittihad Al Ichtiraki", under the title "When Palestine chants: Long live Morocco!", he notes that "this gesture of Palestinian celebration expresses joy in all its states and also shows that Morocco is capable of uniting people in a world without borders. And also, a world of joy, without opportunistic calculations."
"Palestine celebrated in the most beautiful way, in a festive atmosphere, this unprecedented historic achievement of the national team," he wrote, before indicating that many Palestinian musical groups have dedicated to Morocco and especially to the national team songs specially composed for the event. He cited "To the Lions of the Atlas, we sing" (Li Oussoud Al Atlas Ghaniena) of the group "Bait Al Khibra" for the music and "Long live Morocco" (Aach Al Maghreb Aach) of another group composed of artists Chadi Al Bourini, Kacem Nejjar and Mouâyed Al Bourini.
He noted that this Palestinian celebration of the achievement of the national team was also manifested on the facade of the tower of the Palestinian Radio and Television (PBC) in Ramallah, illuminated with the colors of the Moroccan flag, red and green.
He quotes, in this regard, a statement by the head of the information sector in Palestine who noted that "this tower had in few national occasions been illuminated in this way, because the victory of the Moroccan team and its historic qualification represent a Palestinian national holiday and a triumph for Palestinians and Arabs in general."
Jmahri stressed that "Morocco remains in the hearts of Palestinians despite the malicious campaigns of demonization and that the capital of trust and affection remains intact, not being impacted by sterile summits, sectarian drifts or opportunistic calculations."
The editorialist concludes by noting the extraordinary contribution of this great football event in the tightening of the Arab unity, citing in support of the comments from everywhere, from the Gulf to the Atlantic, which made the parallel between this football summit under the leadership of the national coach Walid Regragui and other summits that claimed to unite the Arabs.
