Moroccan women's soccer team has been drawn in Group H against Germany, Colombia and South Korea in the 2023 Women's World Cup, scheduled to take place in Australia and New Zealand.
The national team was in Pot 4 for the draw of this competition, with Nigeria, the Philippines, South Africa and Zambia, in addition to three teams to be determined after the playoffs.
The Moroccan selection had qualified for the world for the first time in its history after its brilliant performance at the AFCON 2022, held last July in Morocco. The players of the national coach Reynald Pedros had reached the final, where they lost to South Africa (2-1).
The United States, two-time defending world champions, are in the same group as the Netherlands, Vietnam and a playoff team. Thirty-two teams will take part in the World Cup organized in Australia and New Zealand.
