Signed by FRMF president, Fouzi Lekjaa and president of the Ethiopian Federation, Esayas Jira, this agreement also aims to promote soccer in both countries, especially in terms of training of technical, administrative and refereeing staff.

It also provides for the scheduling of friendly matches between the Moroccan and Ethiopian national teams, the exchange of experience and expertise in the field of training players, selections of young categories and with regard to women's soccer.

 In a statement to the press, the president of the Ethiopian Football Federation, Esayas Jira, said that Ethiopia, one of the four founding countries of the Confederation of African Football (CAF), hopes to benefit from the soccer experience of Morocco, especially since "the Kingdom is a model to follow in the continent, especially in terms of sports infrastructure and training".

"In Ethiopia, a country with over 120 million inhabitants, soccer is the king sport. We therefore want to benefit from the Moroccan experience in the development of soccer, the training of managers and coaches in addition to the organization of friendly matches between the teams of the two countries, all categories combined,” he added.

"The success of Moroccan clubs on the African scene also arouses our interest. We really want to follow this model," he said, praising the sports infrastructure dedicated to youth in Morocco.
