Diamond League (Lausanne): Morocco's Soufiane El Bakkali Wins 3,000m Steeplechase

Casablanca - Morocco's Soufiane El Bakkali won on Friday the 3,000m steeplechase at the Athletissima Lausanne Diamond League.

The Olympic champion came first at 8:02.45, overtaking Hailemariyam Amare of Ethiopia (8:12.07) and Kenya's Leonard Kipkemoi Bett (8:12.08).

The Diamond League is an annual series of elite track and field athletic competitions comprising 14 of the best invitational athletics meetings. The event started in Doha, Qatar, in May 2022 and will end in Zurich (Switzerland) in September.
