A total of 88 participants representing the 34 sections of the Mohammed VI Foundation of African Ulema are taking part in this competition, organized by the Foundation from August 11 to 14 at the Mohammed VI Mosque in Dar Es Salaam.
They will compete for the first places in the three categories of the contest, namely the memorization of the entire Holy Quran with recitation according to the reading Warch an NafiĆ¢, the memorization of the entire Holy Quran with recitation according to the reading chosen by the candidate and the Tajwid with memorization of at least 5 Hizbs of the Holy Quran.
The event, which is held in implementation of the recommendations of the Supreme Council of the Foundation, in its second session held in 2018 in Fez, is also marked by the presence of presidents and members of the 34 sections.
The experience of the Mohammed VI Foundation of African Ulema in organizing this competition has shown that this annual event is a tool for detecting young skills and talents, said on this occasion secretary general of the Foundation, Mohamed Rifki, adding that this competition is one of the good actions that add to the scientific efforts of the Foundation, which are supported by His Majesty King Mohammed VI, Commander of the Faithful, in the service of Islam and Muslims across Africa.
Rifki also affirmed that the Foundation will redouble its efforts to pursue its programs and action plans in accordance with its principles and in order to achieve its objectives in favor of the protection of Islam and its noble values, as well as the correction of its image throughout Africa, adding that the Foundation is determined to pursue its action aimed at uniting the efforts of the African Ulema in the service of the constant values and common points and to consolidate the bonds of cooperation between them in the service of security, stability and development at the level of the continent.
