The two sides discussed ways to ensure an alignment in the implementation and achievement of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), Agenda 2063, as well as new development model (NMD), in a spirit of unity and full collaboration.
Talks also focused on various issues of Africa's development and establishment of an open and diversified economy in the continent.
In this regard, Lahlimi stressed the importance of ensuring African food and medicine sovereignty, highlighting Morocco's strong presence in Africa in various development sectors.
For her part, Bekele-Thomas stressed the need to develop effective instruments for the implementation of the 2063 Agenda, which aims to transform Africa into a global power of the future.
In this perspective, she noted the importance of involving the African people and all entities of society to achieve the various objectives, calling, in this regard, to elevate the various actions to the African level.
Both sides also expressed their willingness and commitment to federate efforts and mobilize skills, while ensuring data of quality and statistics to provide greater visibility on the needs and ambitions of all countries on the continent.
