This new section was created during a constituent general assembly marked by the presence of president of the FMEJ, Noureddine Miftah, members of the Federal Council, presidents of existing regional sections, and representatives of media institutions in the Beni Mellal-Khenifra region.

The constituent general assembly elected the director of the newspaper "Atlas 24", Mohamed Mokhtari, president of the Beni Mellal-Khenifra section, which joins those of Dakhla-Oued Eddahab, Laâyoune-Sakia El Hamra, Guelmim-Oued Noun, Souss-Massa, Marrakech-Safi, Fez-Meknes, Eastern region and Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima.

In a statement to M24, the news channel of MAP, Miftah welcomed the success of this important regional event on the way to the restructuring of the Federation, which began its reform process in July 2020.

This constitutive general assembly is held at a time when the regional organizations of the FMEJ are experiencing a remarkable development dynamic, with the conclusion of partnerships in three regions in addition to partnership projects in others, which are supported by regional, territorial, public or private actors, said Miftah, noting that the efforts of the FMEJ will soon bear fruit in the service of the development of the regional and local press.

For his part, the elected president, Mohamed Mokhtari highly praised the trust placed in him by the members of the FMEJ, reiterating his commitment to the defense of the interests of journalists in the region.

Mokhtari welcomed the democratic elections that took place in serenity and brotherhood, noting that all members were satisfied with the smooth running of this important regional event.
