Before hundreds of participants to this forum organized in the city of Mar del Plata (400 km south of Buenos Aires), the Moroccan ambassador to Argentina, Fares Yassir, stressed that the strategic planning implemented by Morocco, since the accession to the throne of HM King Mohammed VI 23 years ago, has allowed "to achieve structuring projects of the national territory which have become references" at the global level.
The Moroccan diplomat noted that thanks to this strategic planning, carried by an unshakeable political will, by the ambition of a whole people and by the fundamental role of guarantor played by the State, with the direct involvement of the private sector (national and foreign), Morocco was able to take up the challenges of the human development and to plan for the future in order to stand out as an undeniable regional power.
Fares Yassir enumerated the main structuring projects carried out by Morocco during the last two decades, citing in particular the solar station of Ouarzazate, the first high speed train in Africa, the Tangier-Med port, the first port platform in the Mediterranean and in Africa, flourishing automotive and aeronautical industries, renewable energies, the Green Morocco Plan, the Halieutis plan, world-class free zones... etc.
