Late Stouky was "one of the fine pens of independent Morocco and one of the editors who contributed to the development of journalism in several Moroccan publications, where he helped train a generation of journalists who have left their mark on the media landscape over the past four decades," said a statement by the FMEJ.

In this painful circumstance, the members of the FMEJ "express their sincere condolences and sympathies to the family of the deceased and to the national media family," the statement concluded.
